Lutz and Carr is proud to count among our clients many of New York’s cultural, community service, and religious-based public charities and private foundations, which play a vital role in serving the public interest. A significant portion of our practice and reputation is based on being a leading provider of services to the industry.
This commitment is widely recognized in the not-for-profit community. The services we provide to over 400 not-for-profit organizations are known to the governmental agencies, foundation managers, and corporate funders who interact with our clients. We believe in being proactive on behalf of our clients and maintain excellent working relationships with the New York State Attorney General’s Office, the Internal Revenue Service, and the National Endowment for the Arts.
Our financial statement services include audits, reviews and compilations, as well as OMB Circular A-133 audits where required. In addition to annual information return preparation, we advise our clients on current not-for-profit taxation issues, including unrelated business income tax and for-profit subsidiaries. We serve as an important resource to the management and boards of our clients throughout the year, in firm belief that our service does not end with the issuance of a financial statement.
