Jessica DiGiamo Diaz

Jessica DiGiamo Diaz leverages her experience as a major U.S. grant-making foundation’s CFO to help nonprofit clients address and resolve an array of complex, often difficult accounting and operational challenges.

A detail-oriented, collaborative problem solver, Jessica provides audit, tax preparation, and other financial reporting services to nonprofit organizations large and small, including those in the arts and culture, education, grant-making, research, and membership sectors.

Jessica spent the first 10 years of her career in a “Big Four” accounting firm’s Metro New York not-for-profit practice. Working her way up to senior manager, she provided a range of auditing and attestation services, mostly to prestigious higher education and research organizations.

Following her “Big Four” career, as a grantmaking foundation’s new CFO, she created its first internal finance department, establishing new, highly focused financial policies and procedures and customized financial budgeting and reporting processes. She also implemented a new, much more efficient financial software system. These efforts greatly improved the organization’s internal control structure, financial operations, and bottom line.

Today, as an acknowledged financial leader and CPA with experience in both public and private accounting, Jessica continues to guide nonprofits through GAAP financial reporting requirements, leading practices for internal controls, Form 990 requirements, and budgeting and forecasting matters. She closely monitors industry developments and regularly attends professional education classes and programs to stay abreast of the very latest accounting and auditing practices and keeps her clients informed. She also supports the firm by playing a leading role in its internal training and development activities.

Jessica is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA).
