Analytical and forward-thinking, Paul Sarlo takes a technical and practical approach, crafting bespoke solutions that balance client needs and expectations with the government’s requirements.
Both a CPA and an attorney, Paul possesses a unique perspective. He considers himself an advocate for his clients and serves as the primary liaison between them and the government, always staying mindful of his clients’ circumstances in their ongoing relationship with the tax authorities.
Throughout his career, Paul has provided tax advisory and consulting services to closely held midsized businesses, their owners and operators, families, and individuals. He also has extensive experience representing businesses and individuals before federal and state tax authorities. Paul’s specialized knowledge extends to international transactions, high-net-worth families, estate planning and gift taxes, and the tax implications foreign nationals face when operating in the U.S. and U.S. citizens and businesses encounter operating abroad.
Representing business clients spanning diverse industries, including arts and entertainment, commercial and residential real estate, professional services, and construction, Paul guides them through both complex and routine tax situations, helping them attain the greatest after-tax economic benefits, and stay well-positioned for future opportunities.
Before joining Lutz and Carr, Paul was a tax manager at a large public accounting firm, as well as at midsized and smaller firms. With this range of experience, he excels in working through matters of varying sizes and complexity on a day-to-day basis.
